WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The amazingly low price of $1,900, includes 4 days and 3 nights of lodging, 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 4 dinners, snacks, 12 hours of art instruction from internationally celebrated artists, all art materials needed for the workshops, evening events, private boat tour of the lake, and group excursions to Jefferson (you pay for your own meal) and Caddo Lake State Park. Attendees will also receive special welcome gifts.  This low price is possible because the retreat is offered as a project of The Arete Fund, a non-profit, charitable organization. Any profit from Caddo Wild will be used for future Arete programs. Many of the materials and labor to produce this retreat are being donated by the hosting artists. 

The Tittle House is located near the town of Karnack, Texas. You will be sent the address after enrollment and closer to the retreat.

A private room at the Tittle House or in two adjacent rental properties is included in the retreat price. We will arrange accommodation once we have a final count of attendees. If you choose to book your own housing, $250 will be deducted from the retreat cost. Nearby Caddo Lake State Park has rustic cabins and there are many vacation rentals in the area. Marshall, Texas, is 23 miles from our retreat venue and Jefferson is 15 miles. If you are arranging your own housing, you will need a car to drive to your hotel and the studio each day. 

You can fly into either the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (190 miles from Karnack) or Shreveport Airport in Louisiana (35 miles from Karnack). Additionally, Amtrak has a train that travels between Dallas and Marshall, TX. 

Food Retreat menus will focus on fresh, local cuisine and served buffet style or in picnic baskets. Vegetarian and non-gluten options will be offered.
